Joanne Forrester
President & Chief Operating Officer of Moxies Restaurants
Joanne is an operations and commercial executive with 25-plus years of hospitality leadership experience for some of Canada’s most widely recognized franchised restaurant brands.
Joanne joined Northland Properties in 2019 as the president and COO of Moxies, overseeing 60 restaurants across North America. Before joining Moxies, she held executive-level marketing, operations, real estate, and development positions for Boston Pizza International.
Joanne sits on the advisory board for Northland’s restaurant division. She has also served on the Daily Bread Food Bank; Kids Help Phone boards of directors and, for ten years, chaired the Kids Help Phone Women in Foodservice golf tournament to raise awareness and funds to help support children in need.
She studied communications at Simon Fraser University and marketing and graphic design at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
Joanne mentors women in business and is passionate about creating opportunities for women to advance their careers while not taking their eyes off things that matter, including family and personal pursuits. In her spare time, she loves to hike and cook with her family. She is passionate about running, snowshoe racing, and all things travel; she's also known to obsess about her rank on Peloton leaderboards.
